Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Reichert, 94, our beloved mother, left us suddenly on Saturday, June 12, 2021.

She was born on March 19, 1927, in Chehalis, Wash., to Gladys (Lewis) and Floyd Seymour and spent all her 94 years in Centralia, Wash. She graduated from Centralia High in 1945. She then married Keith Reichert and raised 3 sons. She devoted all her time to raising and making a “home” for her boys. Also, she extended her love and devotion to her grandchildren. Betty worked at JC Penny’s, Bonanza 88 Cent Store, Albertsons, and finally Safeway where she was a member of the Retail Clerks Union until she retired in 1985.

Betty’s love for gardening was her lifelong passion and she shared many memories with family and friends that will continue to flourish and grow even after her passing. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and Floyd Seymour; a sister, Helen Richter; a son, Ron Reichert; and daughters-in-law, Karen Reichert and Kimberly Reichert.

Betty is survived by two sons, Gregg (Patty) Reichert of Centralia, Wash., and Kevin (Jeanne) Reichert of Centralia, Wash.; daughter-in-law, Melanie Reichert of Centralia, Wash.; 6 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and two very dear friends, Vy Wylam and Gracie Yadon.

At Betty’s request there will be no service. A private graveside service will be held at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery in Centralia, Wash.
