Black Hills finishes regular season with a win over Rochester

The Black Hills girls basketball team ended its regular season with a win on Friday, as the Wolves bested Rochester 48-40.

The Warriors (10-10, 4-8 2A EvCo) held a slim lead after one and at halftime, but the Wolves (17-3, 10-2 2A EvCo) found a rhythm offensively in the second half.

After scoring only 17 points in the first half, the Wolves doubled their score in the third and added 14 more in the fourth to sustain their lead.

Natalie Buchanan led Black Hills with 16 points, Tyler Venable scored nine, and Kylie McMahon and Claire Johnson tallied seven each.

Mandy Andree-Cordell led Rochester with 12, Delany Winter added 10, and Grace Hoover recorded nine.

As the No. 2 seed from the EvCo, Black Hills will host the GSHL No. 3 seed on Friday.
