Blazers Can’t Overcome Two Goal Deficit In Loss to Pierce

Posted

A goal in the 80th minute from Malan Flygare was too little, too late, as Centralia College fell to Pierce on the road Wednesday, 2-1.

Flygare’s goal came after goals from Pierce’s Emily Bryant and J’Kira Wolbrecht, in the 42nd and 78th minutes.

Pierce controlled possession almost the entire night, putting 14 shots on goal, with Blazers starting keeper Maggie McAuley recording nine saves and allowing both goals, and Marisol Vargas saving all three of the shots she faced.

The Blazers take on Tacoma CC next this Saturday at Noon.
