Centralia College softball fell in back-to-back games to Lower Columbia — the second on a walk-off — as the Blazers lost 5-2 and 6-4 on the road in Northwest Athletic Conference West Region play Friday.

In Game 1, the Blazers played to a 2-2 tie through two and half innings before the Red Devils countered with three runs in the bottom of the third, which were good enough to secure the victory.

Nicole Schock and Pe Ell-Willapa Valley alum Grace Hodel led the Blazers’ offense, each going 2 for 3 with a run scored. Hodel added an RBI and Kylie Baker also drove in a run.

Rochester alum Kiyah Kennedy pitched all six innings for the Blazers, striking out three and allowing two earned runs.

In Game 2, Willapa Valley alum Katelyn McGough crushed a two-run, walk-off homer in the bottom of the seventh to give the Red Devils a 6-4 victory. McGough finished 1 for 3 with two RBIs and a run scored.

Centralia College was led offensively by Schock, who went 1 for 3 with two RBIs and a run. Sydney Yates was 1 for 4 with an RBI, while Baker, Hodel, Adna alum Kaylee Ashley and Paige Bryant all scored runs.

Bryant tossed five innings, allowing three earned runs on five hits and a walk.

Centralia College (7-14, 4-7 West Region) has now lost four straight and will face Clackamas in a doubleheader starting at 3 p.m. on April 20 at the Chehalis Sports Complex.
