Blazers Fire Back in Second Half to Down Chokers, 4-0

Scoring all four of its goals in the second half, the Centralia College women’s soccer team upended Grays Harbor on the road Saturday in shutout fashion, 4-0.

The Trailblazers got two goals in a span of two minutes from Kasey Derrick after Elsie Harris opened the barrage in the 48th minute, leading to three quick goals in just under 10 minutes in the second half. Bailey Root capped off the scoring with a 68th minute goal for the Blazers. 



As of Monday, October 17, the Blazers (9-5-2, 7-3-2 NWAC) are currently in sole possession of fourth in the NWAC West with 23 points, just one ahead of Pierce and two behind Clark. Centralia has four games left against Clark, Highline, Green River, and Lower Columbia, with three games at home at Tiger Stadium.
