Blazers Go 3-0 at Mt. Hood Crossover Tournament

The Trailblazers took control in the third quarter and held on the rest of the way to beat Mt. Hood, 64-54, on Sunday in NWAC women’s basketball action.

The win gave Centralia a 3-0 record at the three-day Mt. Hood Crossover Tournament. 

The Blazers trailed 33-28 at the intermission, then outscored the host Saints 20-10 in the third quarter to take the lead.

Lexie Sederberg-Jones led the way with 15 points, eight rebounds and five steals, while Allison DeBerry scored 15 with seven assists for the winners. 



Mallory Williams chipped in 14 points with eight rebounds. 

Centralia was outrebounded, 46-35, but committed just 12 turnovers in the win.

Centralia (6-5) is off until Dec. 28, when the Blazers take on Columbia Basin in Lower Columbia’s Red Devil Classic.
