Local authors were featured at a Christmas party held this Saturday by Chehalis book and craft store Book ‘n’ Brush.

Visitors could have books signed by Brian Mittge and Kerry MacGregor Serl, authors of “George Washington of Centralia,” Brad Meagher, author of “The Sea Fever,” Sandy Crowell, who has written “Land Called Lewis” and “Thurston County Water Woods & Prairies,” and Bill Lindstrom, author of “John Turnow - VILLAIN or VICTIM?”

Stories were read for children by Moriah Pitts and Mittge played Christmas songs on his guitar. Snacks by Mackinaws and Sweet Inspirations were served.

“I always appreciate the authors who take the time to attend these book signing events not knowing if it is worth their time,” said Book ‘n’ Brush owner David Hartz. “As people get to know them and ask their questions, it does enhance the author-customer exposure which in turn allows us to know more about each other. That is worth all of our time — to get to know one another and why some write about what has impacted them.”
