The City of Centralia Parks and Recreation Department’s Fort Borst Park drive-through Christmas light display is now available for families or anyone who enjoys Christmas lights. The first night of the light show was Friday, Dec. 3, and it will go until Dec. 26 from 5 to 9 p.m. every night.
The cost is $5 per car. Only cash will be accepted.
The locally-sponsored holiday event has a different route this year, beginning at the Wheeler Field entrance and wrapping all the way around until ending at the northeast entrance, where Fort Borst Park Road and Borst Avenue meet. There will be signage along the way to guide visitors.
The parks department will also be accepting food donations from any guests at the event wishing to offload pantry items, and those will be donated to two local food banks.
