Playing in its second match in as many days, the W.F. West Boys Tennis team soundly defeated Ridgefield on the road Thursday afternoon, 5-1.
The Bearcats (2-0) won each of their singles matches, with Joseph Chung (6-0, 6-1), Justin Chung (6-1, 6-2), and Javyn Han (6-0, 6-1) taking the first, second, and third singles points, respectively.
Following them up, first doubles pair Hans Meier and Mason Walters won soundly, 6-3, 6-0, followed by second doubles pair Bryce Kuykendall and Will Cummings winning in three sets, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4. The Bearcats only loss came on the third doubles court, where Sam Mittge and Ethan Vazquez (7-6 (7-5), 6-4) fell in two tightly-contested sets.
W.F. West will continue with matches Friday against Tumwater at 3:30 p.m.
