Brummer get turn as chair of Lewis County Board of Commissioners

The annual chair shuffle of the Lewis County Board of Commissioners this week means Scott Brummer will chair the board in the upcoming year.

At the board’s Dec. 26 business meeting, Brummer and Commissioner Lindsey Pollock voted for Brummer in the role, replacing Commissioner Sean Swope. The position of chair rotates yearly among the three commissioners, and Swope retains his seat on the board.

The chair holds the gavel and generally runs commissioners meetings, though all three commissioners have equal voting power.

Commissioner Lindsey Pollock will take over as vice chair of the board, replacing Brummer.

Both Pollock’s and Brummer’s appointments will take effect Jan. 1.
