No injuries were reported following a fire that destroyed a machine shed on North Fork Road between Napavine and Onalaska Friday night.
Crews with Lewis County Fire Districts 5 and 6, as well as the Chehalis Fire Department, responded to the fire at 11:25 p.m. on Friday, March 18, according to Lewis County Fire District 6.
The burning structure was a machine shed with some open bays that held farm equipment, two vehicles, one tractor and several large fuel tanks full of gas and diesel.
A neighbor later reported the diesel tank exploded during the fire.
With help from the property owner, crews were able to extinguish the fire and prevent it from damaging an overhead power line Friday night.
The structure itself, along with the farm equipment and vehicles within, was destroyed.
Crews cleared the scene just before 3:35 a.m. on Saturday, March 19.
