Business in Brief: Longmire Springs Brewery to Set Up Shop in Packwood

Posted

Longmire Springs Brewery, a full-production operation, is set to move into the Packwood Business Park Building 2 at 112 Norman Way in Packwood.

The Lewis County Board of Commissioners (BOCC) unanimously authorized the East Lewis County Public Development Authority to change the Packwood Business Park building’s use at its Tuesday business meeting, subleasing the structure to the brewing company.

Prior to the BOCC’s action, the public development authority’s conceptual site plan for the Packwood Business Park showed that Building 2 was supposed to be used as an ammunition facility, so the board amended the plan to fit the brewery into the park’s scope.

The East Lewis County Public Development Authority was created in 1996 to assist with and provide for small business and light industrial development in the Packwood area.
