The Winlock girls basketball team went toe-to-toe with Kalama early on Monday, but the Chinooks pulled away in the second half for a 53-29 victory.

It was all even at 11 after one quarter of play, and even after a solid second for Kalama, the Cardinals (2-16, 1-11 C2BL) were down just 10 at halftime.

The Chinooks pulled away in the third quarter, however, outscoring the Cardinals 22-5 to blow the game open.

Kindyl Kelly had a stellar senior night, as she scored 17 points, grabbed five rebounds and five steals and tallied two assists. Tori Sancho also had a nice night offensively, as she scored eight points.

Winlock will wrap up its season on Wednesday against Napavine.
