A 36-year-old Castle Rock man died after his car struck a tree off of Spirit Lake Highway near Silver Lake early Sunday morning. 

The Washington State Patrol on Monday identified the victim as Tyson N. Ibarra. 

Ibarra was reportedly driving a blue 2001 Honda Civic eastbound on Spirit Lake Highway when, near milepost six, the vehicle left the roadway to the right and struck a tree. 

The Washington State Patrol was dispatched just after 3 a.m. on May 7. 

Ibarra was declared dead at the scene. 

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
