A celebration of life for three retired Centralia and Chehalis police officers is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29.
The event is meant to allow those who worked with the officers but could not attend their memorial services due to COVID-19 restrictions to pay their respects.
“Now is the time to pay our respects and remember them for who they were and what they did,” event organizer Bradd Reynolds said in a news release.
The officers are:
• John Penberth, who retired from the Chehalis Police Department as an officer.
• Ed Teitzel, who retired from the Centralia Police Department as a lieutenant.
• Ira “Tom” Dorsey, who retired from the Centralia Police Department as an officer.
Anyone who worked with any of the three officers is encouraged to contact Reynolds at 360-748-9655 by Sept. 20 to RSVP.
“We will provide the location once we have a list of those attending,” Reynolds stated. “We hope to hold it where you can buy food and refreshments.”
