The Centralia Downtown Association (CDA) will be hosting its spring block party on Wednesday, May 18. The event, which is being held in coordination with businesses along the north end of Tower Avenue, will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

According to an announcement, the block party will take place “in the art park adjacent to HUBBUB (505 North Tower Avenue) and in the parking lot behind Bethel Church (413 North Tower).”

For the safety of those participating, Center Street between Tower and Pearl will be closed. There is also a plan in place in case of hail, sleet or a “volcanic eruption.”

The event will include “A Taste of the North End” section that will showcase what businesses north of Maple Street sell and the services they provide. There will also be a silent auction to benefit CDA activities.

Children and pets are welcome. Bounce houses will be available due to the generosity of Bethel Church.

Todd Chaput of the Economic Alliance of Lewis County will also be present and will give a presentation on the Early Learning Center, which will be constructed on Pearl Street across from the Bethel parking lot.

The announcement adds, “Come join the fun and celebrate our local downtown businesses, especially those on the North End!”
