The ebbs and flows of Washington’s fall weather were at the forefront for Centralia at Riverside on Wednesday, as the Tigers dealt with intermittent rain in a 249-274 loss to Shelton.
“The summer is over,” Centralia coach Hal Gronseth joked.
Tyler Fagerness led the Tigers with a 44, while Jake Johnson shot a 54 and Paul Guthrie was one shot back with a 55.
Tristin Henning shot a 58 and Jonas Howard rounded out the Tigers’ scorecard with a 63.
Shelton was led by Austin Covert’s 42, and three other Highclimbers shot either a 50 or 51.
The Tigers will be back in action at Riverside next Thursday against Black Hills.
