Seven Centralia High School powerlifters made the long trip to Ocean Shores for the Beach Blast 2025 on Saturday, March 29, and made a big impact, with the team finishing fourth overall and several athletes earning top podium spots.
Four team members, Olivia Friedley, Michelle Fadness, Josemanuel Alatore and Payton Warren, each placed first in their respective categories. Emma Fitzgerald placed fourth, Autumn Weinke placed fifth and Ava Horst placed ninth.
“With many lifters now setting their sights on the upcoming Yelm meet in April, they continue to grow as athletes and as a team, paving the way for the future of the Centralia High School Powerlifting. We’re so excited to see what’s next for them!” Centralia High School girls powerlifting coach Rose Waterfield-Taylor said Sunday.
