Centralia sweeps Tenino for third win this week

The Centralia girls tennis team won their third match in as many days on Wednesday, sweeping Tenino 6-0 on their home courts.

The Tigers won all six matches in straight sets, and Maya Lackie and Esther Hopkins didn’t drop a single game in the top two singles matches.

Tenino coach Sam Shea said that the match was a chance for the Beavers to see what they need to improve on as they get back into league play.

“It was a good learning opportunity for us,” Shea said. “We don't take it as a loss. We take it as a learning experience.”

Both teams will be back at home on Thursday, when Centralia will face Black Hills for the second time in three days and Tenino will face Montesano.
