At 10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 1, the Centralia Public Works Department will begin installation work for a steel structure that will create a gateway corridor sign on Harrison Avenue, according to a city news release.

The construction will require a complete closure of Harrison Avenue between Bridge and First streets near the Skookumchuck River on Thursday, Feb. 1, and is expected to last around two hours. Thru traffic on Harrison will be required to find alternate routes, but local business access will not be affected.

Local business access in the area will be available traveling east from Interstate 5, according to the release. For more information, contact the Centralia Public Works Department at 360-330-7512.
