Chamber of Commerce to Hold Ribbon Cutting for Mint City Coffee Roasters in Chehalis

The Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce is holding a grand opening ribbon cutting for Mint City Coffee Roasters, a new coffee house and roaster in downtown Chehalis.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at noon. Owners Jason and Shawna Boettner and Kyle and Sarah Askin will be present.

As part of the celebration there will be a raffle drawing giveaway and refreshments will be served.

Mint City is the vision of the two couples who have spent the last few years working on opening the business. Jason Boettner and Kyle Askin grew up together and reconnected in 2020 after Kyle Askin and his wife Sarah moved back to the area. Kyle Askin had already begun roasting his own brand of coffee beans produced at home and owns several roasting machines himself.

According to the Chamber, the four owners have created a warm, inviting coffee house space to visit. Mint City sells coffee imported from Guatemala, Columbia and Ethiopia. The upstairs features an event space that can be rented out for events.

The public is invited to the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Mint City opened on Nov. 29, 2022 and is located at 539 N. Market Blvd. in Chehalis.
