The Easter Eggspress will be rolling into town on Saturday, April 19.

This family-friendly event, hosted by the Chehalis-Centralia Railroad and Museum, invites guests of all ages to hop aboard a scenic train ride through the countryside, according to a news release from the railroad.

The 75-minute rides depart the Chehalis-Centralia Railroad Depot at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 19.

The cost is $15 for ages 3 to 5, with younger children riding free. Passengers 6 and older can enjoy the rise for $19 per ticket.

Before or after the ride, youths up to 12 years old can gather candy-filled eggs on the grassy area at the depot and enjoy activities including bounce houses, face painting and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Visitors can bring their own Easter baskets for photos with the Easter Bunny.

Food will be available on site, including tamales and hot dogs. Hot cocoa and cider will also be available.

Families will also have the chance to learn about train safety from dedicated Operation Lifesaver volunteers and enjoy activities at the Discover! Children’s Museum’s table.

Tickets are limited, so those interested should book their ride on the Easter Eggspress as soon as possible. Walk-ups will be allowed if there is space available.

The Chehalis-Centralia Railroad is a historic nonprofit railroad dedicated to preserving the railway history of the Pacific Northwest while offering unique and entertaining experiences for everyone.

The train departs from the Chehalis-Centralia Train Depot, located at 1101 SW Sylvenus St., Chehalis, off Interstate 5 Exit 77.
