Clarice Nora Kirkendoll (Smetzler)

Clarice Nora Kirkendoll (Smetzler), 63, of Mossyrock, Wash., passed away peacefully April 14, 2021, at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, Wash. She was born in Chehalis, Wash., Nov. 30, 1957, to Albert and Ione Smetzler.
Clarice graduated from Mossyrock High School in 1976, and later attended the Business Computer Training Institute (BCTI) in Lacey, Wash. She worked at various jobs throughout her career, including IFA Tree Nursery, Aldrich's Berry Farm, and most recently, Tacoma Power. Clarice enjoyed camping, gardening, and canning, but cooking was her lifelong passion. She was a cherished wife, a loving mother, a beloved grandmother, and a trusted friend.
Clarice was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of many years, Pepper Kirkendoll; daughter, Jamie (Mike) Wallin; son, Jesse (Alexandria) Nelson; grandchildren, Kennedy (Deter), Madison, Ava, Andee, Tanner, Warren and Jack; and newborn great-granddaughter, Faye; as well as her sisters, Aldena Higgins and Carmen Burgin and their families. Clarice is also lovingly remembered by Kain Kirkendoll, Karena Kirkendoll, their partners, and numerous friends and neighbors.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Doss Cemetery in Mossyrock. A potluck celebration of life will follow at the Mossyrock Grange.
