The Spring Community Garage Sale

May 14 at Southwest Washington Fairgrounds, 1909 South Gold St., Centralia; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Adult admission is $3. Ages 12 and under are free and must be accompanied by a paid adult.

Boistfort Valley Spring Fest

May 14, Baw Faw Grange, 995 Boistfort Road, Curtis; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The 13th Boistfort Valley Spring Fest will have an indoor/outdoor art and craft fair, plant sale, hot lunch, and lots of pies and other desserts for sale. There will also be a raffle, featuring a handmade queen size quilt and also a spring photo booth. Come out to the beautiful Boistfort Valley and stock up for your garden this year. Centralia Masonic Temple 100th Anniversary Celebration

May 14 at Centralia Masonic Temple, at North Pearl and Magnolia Streets in the historic district of Centralia; 2 p.m.

The Centralia Masonic Temple has reached the century mark. Since the Masonic Organization still owns the building and Freemasons continue to meet in the third-floor Lodge Room, Washington Freemason Grand Master MW Cameron Bailey will rededicate the cornerstone of the temple. The ceremony will take place by the temple’s Magnolia Street entrance. That section of Magnolia will be closed to traffic for the event. The public is welcome to come tour the building and enjoy refreshments after the rededication ceremony, which is a Masonic tradition.

 

Cruzin' To The Museum

May 14 at the Lewis County Veterans Memorial Museum, 100 SW Veterans Way, Chehalis; 3 p.m. until dark

This is an event produced and sponsored by the Veterans Memorial Museum. It is open to all car clubs and individuals. All types of cars are welcome to participate. There will be live bands, prizes, trophies, a monthly costume theme, contests, food trucks, vendors and of course acres of vehicles. A drive-in movie will be shown when the sun goes down. The Winlock FFA and Agriculture Program will be holding their annual plant sale. Come out and support these hard working students.

Fox Theater Open House

The next Chehalis-Centralia Chamber of Commerce After Hours event will be an open house at the Fox Theater. Join the community for a sneak peek at the theater’s renovation progress. Take a tour, see what still needs to be done to open our doors, and get questions answered.

 

Relay for Life of Lewis County

May 20-21 at Southwest Washington Fairgrounds; 4 p.m. Friday to 4 p.m. Saturday

The Relay For Life of Lewis County is back at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds this year and will offer a fireworks show for donations to the American Cancer Society May 20 at about dusk. Help the Relay team raise its goal of $30,000 to fight cancer through participation in all the festivities. Go on Facebook to “2022 Relay for Life of Lewis County” to get information on how to become a participating organization. 

 

Pancake or Biscuits and Gravy Breakfast

Master Gardener Plant Sale
