'Escape to the Land of Sweets' from The Nutcracker Ballet

Dec. 16, 17, 18, 19 at Centralia College’s Corbet Theater

Showtimes are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 1 and 5:30 p.m. the week of Dec. 16. This performance will consist of all of Act Two from the ballet and a brand new opening act. Call 360-748-4789 for ticket information or visit swwdance.org.

 

Ugly Sweater Party

Dec. 17 at Insert Coin, 309 N. Tower Ave., Centralia; 7 p.m.

Visit Insert Coin wearing cozy, ugly sweaters for a chance to win prizes. Anyone dressed up will get 10% off their tab. There will be Jell-O shots and Christmas candy.

 

Pancake or Biscuits and Gravy Breakfast

Dec. 18 at the Cowlitz Prairie Grange, 5184 Jackson Highway, Toledo; 7 to 10 a.m.

Christmas Cookie Baking

Dec. 18 at the Centralia Community Church of God gymnasium, 3320 Borst Ave., Centralia; 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Bake cookies to be handed out at the Community Church of God Christmas dinner. All volunteers are welcome. The church is aiming to bake 2,000 cookies. Christmas Festival

Dec. 18 at Cooks Hill Community Church, 2400 Cooks Hill Road, Centralia; 2 to 6 p.m.

This event will feature pony rides with reindeer ponies through Dreamland Ponies, hay rides, Christmas crafts, a photo booth with Santa, a mini petting zoo, an outdoor light tunnel, a Christmas show, a fire and a coffee shop. Call 360-736-6133 for questions.



 

Breakfast With Santa

Dec. 19 at the Chehalis Eagles Auxiliary, 1993 S. Market Blvd., Chehalis; 8:30 to 11 a.m.

Breakfast will be biscuits and gravy, pancakes, eggs, ham or bacon, sausage and fruit.

Children under 5 free, $5 for ages 6 to 12, $9 for adults.

Drive-Through Christmas Dinner

Dec. 25 at the Centralia Community Church of God, 3320 Borst Ave., Centralia; 12 to 4 p.m.

There will be a free drive-through Christmas dinner along with a half-dozen cookies per meal. Delivery will also be available for those who call 360-669-0743.

 

‘Draggin’ In the New Year’

Dec. 31 at McFilers, 543 NW Pacific Ave., Chehalis; 9:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Live performers, a raffle and a karaoke contest will be held to celebrate the life of Rikkey Outumuro (Tru Starlet) at this New Years Eve party. A $5 donation is suggested, donations will go to Outumoro’s family.

 

Workgroup for Parents of Children With Disabilities

Jan. 12 at the Jenson Memorial Event Center, Veterans Memorial Museum at 100 SW Veterans Way; 5:30 to 7 p.m.

This class is hosted on the second Wednesday of every month until May by Reliable Enterprises and Lewis County Public Health and Social Services. Topics include preparing for graduation and other transitions, social security, employment supports and more. Lewis County Cemetery District #1 Monthly Meeting

Crab Feed

Jan. 15 at the Packwood Community Hall; doors and bar at 5 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m.
