Lewis County Hiring Fair

Sept. 14 at Dick’s Brewing Company, 3516 Galvin Road, Centralia; 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Those seeking a job should come with resumes and be prepared to interview.

To set up a booth call the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce at 360-748-8885 or register online at chamberway.com. The cost for a table is $50 for chamber members and $100 for non-members, limited to one booth per company. Free lunch for vendors.

 

Luau-Themed Open House

Sept. 15 at 200 NW Pacific Ave., Chehalis; 3 to 6 p.m

Title Guaranty Company in Chehalis will be hosting an outdoor open house featuring games, dinner by Flourish Cafe, door prizes and other entertainment. This is free and open to the public.

ARTrails of Southwest Washington Studio Tour

Sept. 18, 19, 25 and 26 at studios across Lewis County

The free ARTtrails self-guided studio tour is back for the 19th time on the third and fourth weekends of September. Watch for ARTrails signs across Lewis County or visit issuu.com/artrailsofsww/docs/artrails-studioguide-2021-web for the list of participating studios.

 

Plant Sale

Sept. 18 at the Master Gardener Greenhouse at Fort Borst Park; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Master Gardener Foundation of Lewis County’s fall plant sale will feature hundreds of high quality trees, shrubs and perennials all grown by local Master Gardeners. Buyers are encouraged to bring their own garden carts or wagons. Masks and social distancing required. Debit, credit cards and cash will be accepted. Laser Tag

Sept. 18 at Cooks Hill Community Church, 2400 Cooks Hill Road, Centralia; 12 to 3 p.m.

All middle and high schoolers are welcome to come play laser tag and eat pizza at this free outdoor event. Subject to change due to COVID-19 restrictions. Contact nicoe@cookshillcc.org for questions.

 

Pioneer Church Open House

Sept. 18 at the Historic Borst Home Museum, Centralia; 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

This open house will celebrate the numerous donors and volunteers for their help in building the replica Pioneer Church at Borst Park. This is a free event.

 

Second Annual Knights-day Fun Run/Walk

Sept. 25 at Fort Borst Park, Centralia; In-person registration at 7:30 a.m., race begins at 9 a.m.; register at wlpcatholic.org/5k-fun-run

Registration for 5K or 1 mile can be done online or on race day for an extra $5. Pre-registration is $25 for 5K and $15 for 1 mile. Enter T-shirt sizes under "comments." Proceeds go to the Special Olympics and KofC Scholarship Fund.

 

Movies by the Dashboard Light

Sept. 25 at Veterans Memorial Museum, 100 SW Veterans Way, Chehalis; 9 p.m.

The Veterans Memorial Museum shows car-themed films at this drive-in movie theater on the last Saturday of the month. First-come, first-serve. Admission is by donation to the museum. Popcorn, drinks and food available. For more information, call 360-740-8875.

 

Adna Fall Festival

Oct. 1 and 2 at Adna Floral, 132 B Bunker Creek Road, Chehalis; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days

This is the seventh annual rendition of this fall-themed vendor festival. The event will be held outside. Shoppers can expect to find pumpkins and gourds, farmhouse decor, jewelry, kettle corn, repurposed furniture, handmade items and much more. Admission and parking are free.

 

Apple Fun 5K Run/Walk

Oct. 2 at Carlisle Lake, Onalaska; registration opens 7:30 a.m., race at 9 a.m.

Races start at the historical smoke stack at Carlisle Lake, virtual participation is also an option. The first 100 in person or local participants will receive a custom item with a logo on it and all participants will be entered to win valuable prizes after the race(s). Virtual participants will receive a different item, which will be mailed.

Lewis County Cemetery District #1 Monthly Meeting

Oct. 13 at the cemetery office, 407 Cowlitz Road, Winlock; 7 p.m.

These meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month.
