Ford’s Prairie Grange Handcrafted Bazaar

March 18 at the Ford’s Prairie Grange, 2640 W. Reynolds Road, Centralia; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 

Run Amok Irish Running Club 5K Dash

March 18 at Dick’s Brewery, 3516 Galvin Road, Centralia; 9 a.m.

Check-in begins at 9 a.m. and the race begins at 10. The cost is $30 for a long sleeve shirt and $15 for no shirt. Children 10 and under are free, though shirts can be purchased. The fee for the day of entry is $20 with no shirt. Register online at https://tinyurl.com/mr3vr2td. 

 

Spring Open House at the Memorial Park

March 18 at Mill and Mills Funeral Home, 5725 Littlerock Road SW, Tumwater; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Attendees can meet the staff, tour the memorial park and funeral home. There will be refreshments. 

 

Benefit Fundraiser for Christina Porter

March 18 at the Chehalis Moose Lodge, 1400 Grand Ave., Centralia; 4 p.m.

There will be a spaghetti dinner at 4 p.m. for $10 followed by an auction and bake sale. For donations, call Pattie at 360-490-8921. 

 

Potato Bar and Bingo Night

March 18 at the Trinity Rebekah Lodge, 111 W. Washington St., Napavine; 4 p.m.

Dinner will be followed by bingo. Dinner is $15 and bingo is $10. The cost is $5 for each additional playing pack. There will be drawings, prizes, raffles and snacks.

 

Lincoln Day Dinner Fundraiser

March 18 at The Loft, 547 NW Pacific Ave., Chehalis; 6 p.m.

The Lewis County Republican Party is holding its annual Lincoln Day Dinner fundraiser. The speakers include talk radio host Todd Herman, comedian Josh Novey and Center for Self-Governance founder Mark Herr. Local activist Glen Morgan will serve as host. Spring Fling Dance and Karaoke

March 18 at the Veterans Memorial Museum, 100 SW Veterans Way, Chehalis; 6 to 8 p.m.



This is a spring dance for adults with disabilities. The event is open only to those ages 18 and over. The event is free. Roll for a Cause: March Bowl-a-Thon

March 19 at the Mill Town Smokehouse, 834 Westlake Drive, Morton; 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Mill Town Smokehouse will hold a monthly Bowl-a-Thon sponsored by the Morton Seniors Advisory Board, which provides services to local senior citizens through the Morton Senior Center. There will be teams of four, each of which requires a $150 sponsorship to participate, $100 of which the Morton Senior Center will directly receive in addition to other donations and raffle proceeds. 

 

20th Legislative District Virtual Town Hall

March 20 from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m.

State Sen. John Braun and state Reps. Ed Orcutt and Peter Abbarno are inviting 20th legislative district residents to attend their virtual town hall. The meeting will be hosted on Zoom and people wishing to participate will need to sign up in advance at https://leg-wa-gov.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_Mng7847lRCGTG5OQVRFEfw. 

 

Botanical Bartending Workshop Series

March 22 at Flourish Cafe, 202 S. Tower Ave., Centralia

Herbalist Lauren Olean will teach this herbal mixology class. Attendees can learn how to make herbal liqueurs, syrups, sugars and cocktail bitters in a relaxed and mindful environment. The class will cover how to work with different herbs that grow locally and their medicinal benefits. Attendees will make products together and sample ingredients. One drink is included. Attendees must be at least 21. Spaces are limited and tickets are $50 per class or $135 for the whole series. Lewis County AAUW Used Book Sale

March 23, 24 and 25 at the Moose Lodge, 1400 Grand Ave., Centralia; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Book prices will drop every day with the best selection of books on March 23. On March 25 books will be $5 per bag all day. The proceeds are used to fund college scholarships and other educational opportunities for women. 

 

Family Resource Fair

March 25 at the Morton Elementary School Gym, 400 W. Main Ave., Morton; 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

There will be information on infant and child CPR, booths, free raffle drawings, games, a photography session, free books and a fire truck. Free diapers can be reserved for pick up at the event by parents who are expecting or have a baby up to 18 months old by calling 360-496-3749 by March 17. There will be parenting health tips from Jason Whitney, ARNP, FNP-C and Dr. Travis Podbilski. 

 

Stationary Dinner Train

March 25 at the Chehalis Centralia Railroad and Museum, 1101 SW Sylvenus St., Chehalis; 5 p.m.

Attendees will be able to have a three-course dinner with musical entertainment aboard renovated 1920s dining cars and can choose between roasted chicken with potatoes or fettuccine alfredo. Tickets are $66 and are available at SteamTrainRide.com. Attendance is limited to 48 guests.
