Lewis County Stream Team Tree Planting on Mill Creek

April 2 at 266 Jefferies Road, Chehalis; 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All are invited to join the Lewis County Stream Team for tree planting along Mill Creek. Work gloves and snacks will be provided. Appropriate footwear is advised. For more information, call 360-996-4560 or email Kenna.Fosnacht@lewiscdwa.com.

To get there from Interstate 5, take state Route 6 toward Pe Ell, turn right on Chilvers Road, then turn right on Jeffries Road. The parking lot is marked on the right after Glenview Drive. Look for salmon signs.

The Lewis County Model Railroad Club Train Show and Swap Meet

April 2 and 3 at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds; Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Buy, sell or trade all types of model railroad equipment, toy trains and railroadiana. All scales and gauges. A large LEGO Trains area and European layouts are currently scheduled. The show will be located in the Blue Pavilion. Admission is $5 per person. Children age 10 and under are free.

Southwest Washington Mycological Society Meeting

April 5 at the WSU Extension Office on Cascade and Main in Chehalis; 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Celebrate the club’s 10th birthday by bringing mushrooms for identification. Bring treats to share. All are invited to attend and/or welcome to join the club. 

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance

April 8, 9, 10 and 13 at the Mossyrock Grange Hall, 152 Isbell Road, Mossyrock

Free tax preparation for seniors and folks in the low income category. Bring income papers. This program will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 8, 9 and 13 and from noon to 6 p.m. on April 10.

Ladies Luncheon

April 11 at the Church of the Nazarene meeting room, 1119 W. First St., Centralia; 12 to 1:30 p.m.

Cost is $15. All women are invited to this inspirational speech by national weightlifting champion Judy Glenney. Invite friends and make reservations. These meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month.



Workgroup for Parents of Children With Disabilities

April 13 at the Jensen Memorial Event Center, Veterans Memorial Museum at 100 SW Veterans Way; 5:30 to 7 p.m.

This class is hosted on the second Wednesday of every month until May by Reliable Enterprises and Lewis County Public Health and Social Services. Topics include preparing for graduation and other transitions, social security, employment supports and more. Lewis County Cemetery District #1 Monthly Meeting 

April 13 at the cemetery office, 407 Cowlitz Road, Winlock; 7 p.m.

These meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month.

Easter Extravaganza

April 16 at the Chehalis Moose Lodge, 1400 Grand Ave., Centralia; 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Over 30 vendors will be handing out candy filled eggs to kids. Breakfast will be for sale until 11:30 a.m. and lunch will be sold from 12:30 p.m. until the end of the event. Meals cost $12.

The Easter Bunny will also make an appearance.

Easter Egg Hunt

April 17 at 1437 S. Gold St.., Centralia; 2 p.m.

Sticklin Funeral Chapel invites families to meet the Easter Bunny and join them for an “Eggtastic Egg Hunt.” Cocoa and cookies will be served.

Enjoy a night of networking, food, beverages, fun and prizes with the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce, hosted by Sticklin Funeral Chapel.
