Tenino Farmers Market

May 7 in Downtown Tenino off Sussex Avenue; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Tenino Farmers Market will run every Saturday through Sept. 24.

 

Mother's Day Market

May 7 at Jesters Auto Museum, 321 Hamilton Road, Chehalis; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Spaghetti Dinner & Bingo Night

May 7, 111 West Washington St., Napavine; 4 to 9 p.m.

There will be a spaghetti dinner and a night of family bingo sponsored by The Rebekahs and held at Trinity Rebekah Lodge. Come for dinner, bingo or both. Dinner will be served until 6 p.m. and costs $15. Bingo will follow dinner and is $10 per person for the first packet (22 games) and $5 for each additional packet (22 games per packet). There will be bingo prizes, raffles, snacks and more. All proceeds from the event benefit L.C. Renal Alliance.

 

Mother’s Day Bingo

May 8 at 1993 S. Market Blvd., Chehalis; 2 to 4 p.m.

The Chehalis Eagles are hosting bingo for Mother’s Day. There will be 11 games at $1 per game, for the first 10 games and $3 for the final game. There will be a $10 bundle for the first game available at the door. The final game is a separate purchase. Folks could win a hanging basket or select a kids prize. There will be a $300 blackout prize during the final game.

 

Rainy Daze Quilt Guild

May 10 at the Twin Cities Senior Center, 2545 N. National Ave., Chehalis; 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m.

The meeting for the Rainier Daze Quilt Guild will welcome new members. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month.

 

Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

May 11 at 1266 SW 22nd St.; noon

Silver Acres Adult Family Homes will be opening its newest location in Centralia. It would like the opportunity to share this news with the community and invite it to our chamber of commerce ribbon-cutting event, held at the home.



 

Workgroup for Parents of Children With Disabilities

May 11 at the Jensen Memorial Event Center, Veterans Memorial Museum at 100 SW Veterans Way; 5:30 to 7 p.m.

This class is hosted by Reliable Enterprises and Lewis County Public Health and Social Services. Topics include preparing for graduation and other transitions, social security, employment supports and more. Boistfort Valley Spring Fest

May 14, Baw Faw Grange, 995 Boistfort Road, Curtis; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The 13th Boistfort Valley Spring Fest will have an indoor/outdoor art and craft fair, plant sale, hot lunch and lots of pies and other desserts for sale. There will also be a raffle, featuring a handmade queen size quilt and also a spring photo booth. Come out to the beautiful Boistfort Valley and stock up for your garden this year. Centralia Masonic Temple 100th Anniversary Celebration

May 14 at Centralia Masonic Temple, at North Pearl and Magnolia Streets in the historic district of Centralia; 2 p.m.

The Centralia Masonic Temple has reached the century mark. Since the Masonic Organization still owns the building and Freemasons continue to meet in the third-floor Lodge Room, Washington Freemason Grand Master MW Cameron Bailey will rededicate the cornerstone of the temple. The ceremony will take place by the temple’s Magnolia Street entrance. That section of Magnolia will be closed to traffic for the event. The public is welcome to come tour the building and enjoy refreshments after the rededication ceremony, which is a Masonic tradition.

 

Fox Theater Open House

May 19, Historic Centralia Fox Theater, 123 S. Tower Ave. in Centralia; 5 to 7 p.m.

The next Chehalis-Centralia Chamber of Commerce After Hours event will be an open house at the Fox Theater. Join the community for a sneak peek at the theater’s renovation progress. Take a tour, see what still needs to be done to open the doors, and get questions answered.

 

Relay for Life of Lewis County

May 20-21 at Southwest Washington Fairgrounds; 4 p.m. Friday to 4 p.m. Saturday

The Relay For Life of Lewis County is back at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds this year and will offer a fireworks show for donations to the American Cancer Society May 20 at about dusk. Help the Relay team raise its goal of $30,000 to fight cancer through participation in all the festivities. Go on Facebook to “2022 Relay for Life of Lewis County” to get information on how to become a participating organization.
