Tenino Oregon Trail Days

July 23 to July 25 in Tenino; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Black powder shoot and pioneer rendezvous, rock and gem show, parade, craft vendors, Tenino Farmers Market and Pioneer Village with free family activities at Tenino Depot Museum.


Friends of the Winlock Library Book Sale Fundraiser

July 24 at 300 NE 1st Street, Winlock; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Books will be sold by donation. Proceeds will go to the Winlock Timberland Library. Call 360-785-3461 for more information.


Packwood Airport Fly-In

July 24 at the Packwood Airport; All day.

Shirts will be sold, proceeds will go toward airport upkeep.


Packwood Rod Run

July 24 at Cowlitz River Lodge, 13069 U.S. Highway 12, Packwood; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

$20 on-site registration. Show will include a poker walk, show and shine and other awards. First 100 cars will receive dash plaques.


Ice Cream Social

July 24 at the Freeborn Wellness Center, 515 Harrison Ave, Suite A, Centralia; 5:30 p.m.

This is a free ice cream social put on by Relay for Life of Lewis County


Comedy at Flood Valley

July 26 to 31 in Downtown Chehalis

ChehalisFest, normally a single-day event, will return this year for a week of activities culminating in a street fair and car show on July 31. Week-long activities will include a scavenger hunt, sidewalk sales and games at participating shops. Find more information at


Paint Night by Joan and Sue’s Art Classes

Lintott-Alexander Park Benefit Party

The Chehalis Foundation will host a “Party in the Park” to raise funds for repair and maintenance of the Lintott-Alexander Park. Entrance is $50. This event is already fully funded by a foundation donor, so 100% of the proceeds will go to the budget for the park.

Attendees can enjoy beverages, appetizers, activities and music.

United Way Annual ‘Power of the Purse’

Aug. 3 at The Barn on Jackson, 3605 Jackson Hwy, Chehalis; 4:30 p.m.; Tickets must be reserved at

United Way Lewis County hosts this event to celebrate the power of women who support the community. Single tickets cost $50, a table for eight costs $500 and includes the company/host name on display. This year’s event will feature a raffle of purse packages and accessories, the presentation of the “Woman of Distinction Award,” appetizers by Joy’s Once Upon a Thyme and more.


Health & Hope Free Clinic Train Ride Fundraiser

Ride the steam train for $40 to support the local Health & Hope Medical Outreach free clinic. “Lap-sitters” ride for free.


Bagpipes at Pioneer Church

Aug. 7 at the Historic Borst Home Museum, Centralia; 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

In celebration of the newly built Pioneer Church and to honor the Scottish heritage of Mary Borst, bagpipe hymns will be played in a two-hour program with a brief history preceding each tune. This event is free.
