Cross Country: Selena Niemi Captures Victory in 13-Team Meet

Rainier senior Selena Niemi continued her tear through cross country season with a dominating victory (20:43.15) at a 13-team meet in Adna on Thursday.

Morton-White Pass’ Ayricka Hughes was fifth in a time of 23:34.01. Rainier’s Faith Boesch finished 10th in a time of 24:33.67. Toledo’s Karley Harris was right behind Boesch with an 11th-place finish (24:46.7).

On the boys side, Ilwaco’s Daniel Quintana won by nearly a minute in a time of 17:16.11. The top local finisher was Rainier’s Dylan Davis, who placed third (8:06.51). Mountaineers’ teammate Ryan Doidge was fourth (18:21.79).

Toledo freshman Treyton Marty was fifth in a time of 18:26.94. Morton-White Pass’ David Martinez placed sixth (18:29.26). Mossyrock’s Christian Paz Tapia was ninth (19:01.79).



Winlock’s Chase Trodahl was 16th (20:04.55), and Adna’s Jordan Stout was 19th (20:14.41).

Loggers Compete in Stevenson

Onalaska junior Ben Russon was the top Logger finisher at an eight-team meet in Stevenson Thursday, placing fourth in a time of 19:53.59. Teammate Lethon Fitch finished in sixth place with a time of 20:16.58, and Trevor Blair was 11th (20:55.88).

On the girls side, sophomore Kelsi Haas was the only Logger competitor, placing ninth out of 21 runners in a time of 28:01.64.
