Danielle Prestegord

On Christmas Day, Danielle Marie (Pedersen) Prestegord, 48, loving wife and mother, passed away after a long battle with brain cancer, with her husband, Aaron, by her side. She was born March 10, 1972, in Chehalis, Wash., to Frank and Carole (Anderson) Pedersen. She graduated from Pe Ell High School in 1990. She attended cosmetology school, and opened a salon working from home. In the early 1990’s, she married Randy Cummings, and had her three boys. They later divorced.
In 2010, Danielle got up the nerve to ask Aaron Prestegord to bring in the New Year with her. As their relationship progressed, she realized that she had found the one who would love her unconditionally. After 10 years, they were married Oct. 30, 2020. Aaron brought three bonus sons into her life.
Danielle was very much a Daddy’s girl, who had an amazing sense of humor and loved to tease her very serious mother. She enjoyed stopping at thrift stores, doing crafts, cooking, camping, and sitting on her deck “her happy place” drinking coffee. She was so relaxed when on the motorcycle with Aaron. Danielle was not the best driver, she wrecked 12 cars. Danielle was happiest when spending time with her friends and family, the louder the house the happier she was and she loved being known as Granny Dani to her two grandsons, Zander Cummings and Beau Prestegord.
Danielle fought her illness with courageous strength. Her beautiful soul reminded us to be better people and to love one another; she was truly an inspiration with a caring heart and she was an amazing friend to anyone who knew her.
Danielle is survived by her husband, Aaron; her mother, Carole Pedersen; sons, Brandon (Jordan) Cummings, Taylor Prestegord, Joshua (Sudie) Prestegord, and Bradley Prestegord; her two grandsons; brother, Shane (Tasha) Pedersen; and three nephews Clifford, Frankie, and David.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Pedersen; and her son, Kyle Andrew Cummings.

Ryan Jacob Cummings

Danielle’s youngest son, Ryan Jacob Cummings, 20, was born June 1, 2000, in South Bend, Wash. Ryan joined his mother in Heaven Jan. 10, 2021, just 16 days after she passed. Ryan and Danielle were true soul mates in life. Ryan was so blessed to have such a wonderful advocate in his life, which gave him the most normal and full life possible.
Ryan attended Pe Ell School, he was the Senior Prom King, and graduated in 2018.
Ryan was such a people person, with an infectious smile and cheeks full of angel kisses (freckles). He attended New Harvest Church with his family where he would “sing” when the congregation would sing and “involve” himself in the weekly sermon, helping Pastor Dave Brown do his job. He loved to jabber “liar, liar” when Aunt Jackie would tell stories. He enjoyed learning his Eye Gaze System that helped with communication. He also enjoyed listening to music and having his dad, Aaron, help him strum a guitar. Ryan loved to ride on rough roads; the bouncing in the van would make him laugh.
