​David Critcher: 1950-2021

​David (Dave) Critcher passed away on Sept. 4, 2021, at the age of 71 surrounded by his family. Dave was born in Sacramento, California, in 1950. He was the middle child of three. After high school, Dave served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee within the Naval Construction Battalion. Dave served our country during the Vietnam War where he became a decorated veteran. In 1979, Dave founded Chehalis Plumbing in Lewis County. He grew a successful local business which he ultimately sold when he retired in 2015. 

David enjoyed spending his spare time at his property, a place of pride and joy whether by himself or with his friends and family. Because of Dave, there were many treasured memories created at his home on the Newaukum River. 

Dave was preceded in death by his brother Tony Critcher, father James Critcher and mother Esther (Peoples) Critcher. Dave is survived by his sister Deborah Tucker; children Jim Critcher, Kelly Davi, and Jacob Critcher; grandchildren Bryan, Nicole, Matthew and Jaelynn Critcher, Louie and Joey Cantoni, and Hank Critcher; great-grandchild Atlas Critcher. 

A memorial service will be held Sept. 17, 2021, at Adna Evangelical Church at 9:30 a.m. A graveside service will follow at the Claquato Cemetery at 11 a.m.
