Dorothy M. Wood passed away Dec. 1, 2019, in Chehalis, Wash., to join her precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born April 19, 1943, in Hull, England, to parents, James and Harriet Silvester. Dorothy had four brothers, James, Terry, Barry O'Keefe and Brian Silvester; and two sisters, Ivy Sutton and Jean O'Keefe.
She moved to Chehalis, Wash., in 1976, and became a United States citizen Sept. 22, 1988, which she was very proud of. Dorothy was good at anything she tried to do, but her one love was cooking, which she taught herself and she excelled at it. She had never lived on a farm before, but Dorothy quickly learned how to milk a cow, run a rototiller, drive a tractor and all those things one does on a farm. She also loved animals and she especially loved her dogs, Bulldozer and Jaidee.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, James, Terry, Barry and Jean.
Special thanks to her caregivers, Ally, Ginger and Nakita, who loved her very much. She leaves behind in England her sister, Ivy Sutton; and nephews, Tony (Jackie) Sutton, Tim (Mymi) Sutton and Paul (Nancy) Sutton (of Canada); brother, Brian (Jean) Silvester; niece, Julie (Michael) Gorcik; special friend, Jain Rosbach; and Mike and Mary Geiger of Chehalis. She will be forever missed by so many.
