Valhalla Rescue, a pet rescue in Evaline, is offering “Howliday” meal assistance for cats and dogs with low-income, homeless and senior owners during the holiday season.
This way, the rescue said in an email, owners don’t have to dip into their own food budgets to feed their companions.

Throughout the rest of the year, the rescue’s food-bank program is open by appointment.
