Downtown Chehalis business owners can now apply for grants to conduct small-scale improvements to their businesses’ facades for the winter holiday season thanks to a new program from Experience Chehalis.
Those approved will get a 75% match for up to $350 per business for approved projects, including holiday window displays, window painting, and decorative lighting, according to an Experience Chehalis news release.
“The holiday season amplifies the charm of visiting downtown Chehalis,” Experience Chehalis Executive Director Annalee Tobey said in the release. “We are excited to offer this new opportunity to support our downtown businesses as they create a festive and inviting experience.”
Applications are available online and will be accepted up through Dec. 20 as long as funding is still available. To download an application, visit https://experiencechehalis.com/holiday-facade-grant/.
Completed application packages must then be sent to info@experiencechehalis.com.
Experience Chehalis’ holiday façade grant program is one of many programs the organization has run, with over 50 grants awarded to date according to the release.
Originally known as the Chehalis Community Renaissance Team, Experience Chehalis is an organization that aims to cultivate relationships and celebrate community by engaging in projects to make Chehalis a more attractive place to live, involve the youth and enhance economic growth through promoting tourism to support local businesses.
