Experience Chehalis seeks designs for Chehalis’ upcoming annual Earth Day Community Clean-up event

Local artists are invited to submit Earth Day-inspired designs for a contest to find art for Experience Chehalis’s upcoming annual Earth Day Community Clean-up event scheduled for April 20, according to an Experience Chehalis news release.

“The image will be utilized in posters, social media promotions, T-shirts and stickers,” the release stated. “The design aims to promote and inspire community members to participate in the Earth Day Community Clean-up and inspire our citizens to care for our planet.”

Deadline to submit a design is Feb. 26, and the winning artist will be paid $350 for their work. The artist will be responsible for costs associated with the design’s creation. Experience Chehalis will request ownership of the design.

Submitted designs must incorporate a representation including the planet Earth with positive and colorful homage to the planet and Earth Day along with Chehalis themes.

Designs must also be contained to a square area so it can easily be placed on an 11 inch by 17 inch poster.



“Please do not include words in the design,” the release added.

Submitted designs must be in pdf, jpeg or png file format. Artists are asked to provide a short biography about themselves along with their name, mailing address, phone number and email.

To submit a design, send it, along with the above information requested, to  info@experiencechehalis.com by Feb. 26. The selected artist will be announced by March 5.

Experience Chehalis is a local nonprofit seeking to cultivate relationships and celebrate the Chehalis community by holding events and carrying out projects to help beautify the city along with fostering economic development to create more job opportunities for local youth and increase tourism to fuel the local economy.
