Fast Start Propels Cardinals Past Warriors

Chief Leschi may have put up 48 points, but Winlock fired off 60 in the first half and finished with 82 in an offensive showcase Friday night.

Senior Cardinal tailback Nolan Swofford carried the ball 17 times for 369 yards and 10 touchdowns in the 82-48 win.

Senior quarterback Neal Patching wasn’t half bad either, carrying the ball 15 times for 156 yards and a touchdown, as the pair helped Winlock to yet another league win.

The Cardinals got off to a hot start, outscoring the Warriors 60-24 at the half and holding on for the win in the second.

Winlock will look to win its final regular season game next week against Ocosta.
