Oakville’s Naenae Filitaula and Ui’lani Siufanua combined for 35 points on Tuesday night, leading the Acorns to a 55-32 win over Crescent in their first game of the season.
The Acorns pulled away early, building a 16 point lead in the first quarter and adding on throughout the second half.
Filitaula scored 10 of her 20 points in the first quarter, while Siufanua scored 11 of her 15 in the second half.
Carolann Black added nine points, Brenna Moore added six, and Ava Boyd finished with five.
Crescent’s Naomii Sprague scored 23 points, but other than that, the Acorns limited the other three Logger scorers to just nine combined points.
The Acorns (1-0) will host North Beach on Thursday in their home opener.
