The WIAA released its state soccer brackets for all classifications Sunday afternoon.
The Chronicle has five teams in its coverage area headed to state: Toledo, Onalaska, Adna, Tenino and Tumwater.
Toledo is the best-seeded team in the area, getting No. 5 in Class 2B after placing third at districts. Onalaska is the No. 6 seed after a fourth-place finish at districts and Adna is No. 8 after placing second at districts and defeating the Loggers in the semifinals.
In 1A, Tenino received a perplexing 15th seed with a 12-4 overall record. Up one classification, 2A Evergreen Conference champion Tumwater was given the No. 9 seed. Higher seeds host the first round.
2B: No. 5 Toledo (13-5) vs. No. 12 Friday Harbor (date and time TBD).
2B: No. 6 Onalaska (11-5) vs. No. 11 Reardan (date and time TBD).
2B: No. 8 Adna (9-4) vs. No. 9 Cle Elum-Roslyn at 6 p.m., Wednesday, at Tumwater High School.
1A: No. 15 Tenino (14-5) vs. No. 2 South Whidbey (date and time TBD).
2A: No. 9 Tumwater vs. No. 8 Selah (date and time TBD).
