Starting pitcher Ella Goheen fired a complete game clean sheet and launched a solo home run that jumpstarted the Wolves’ offense in a 9-0 Evergreen Conference triumph over Shelton on Friday night.

Goheen allowed one hit and fanned seven Highclimbers. Her solo shot gave Black Hills (4-4, 2-3 EvCo) an early 1-0 lead and its offense piled on by scoring at least a run in the final five innings, including three with multiple tallies.

Their 2-3-4-5 hitters and the bottom of the lineup recorded all of the hits and nine of the 12 batters reached base. Black Hills took advantage of five Shelton errors to win for the second time in three games.

The Wolves face North Thurston on Saturday before returning to league play on Monday when they battle Aberdeen.
