The Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Enchanted Wellness, a women’s only gym in Chehalis.
The ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. Friday, March 28, at Enchanted Wellness, located at 1176 SW 22nd St. in Chehalis.
Everyone is invited to the 5 p.m. ceremony, with a “Ladies’ Night” event starting at 4 p.m. and continuing after the ribbon-cutting.
Alyssa Borges opened Enchanted Wellness to create a safe space for women to exercise and take classes, according to a news release from the chamber. Borges has led group fitness classes for more than 10 years and transitioned into personal training in 2019 after the birth of her daughter, the release stated.
After seeing the lack of health avenues for moms in the area, Borges created Enchanted Wellness as a space for moms to be able to work out while also having a place to bring their children.
“I really wanted to focus on creating a space where moms can come and bring their kids. It’s a safe space where they can workout (because) being a mom shouldn’t be an inconvenience,” Borges said.
The “Ladies’ Night” event includes local vendors from women-owned businesses with opportunities to sample their products, snacks, drinks and services such as facials and tattoos.
The Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce hosts ribbon-cutting ceremonies for local businesses that are expanding, rebranding or celebrating significant milestones. These ceremonies are available for both members and non-members of the chamber.
The chamber encourages community members to celebrate Enchanted Wellness’s ribbon-cutting ceremony.
