Guardian Friends of Lewis County board members display evidence of ongoing support by Verizon affiliate TCC employees, including a $2,500 donation in December. Thanks to TCC, 48 foster children received Christmas presents. Guardian Friends of Lewis County is a nonprofit that raises money for items foster care kids need that aren’t covered by the state.

“Guardian Friends of Lewis County was founded in 2009 by a group of Guardians ad Litem to help bridge the financial gap left by falling state budgets and increasing cost of living for our families in dependency,” the nonprofit wrote on its website. “Our foster children are often left out of extracurricular activities and milestones their peers often take for granted. Guardian Friends seeks to fill the needs and desires of foster children so they can participate in activities that are often closed to them.”
