Thunderbirds catcher Jaime Haase launched two home runs, including a grand slam in the bottom of the third inning, and drove in nine runs to lead them to a 19-3, five-inning verdict over Centralia at home.

Haase began the outburst with a sacrifice fly in the first, hit a two-run home run in the second and laced a single that drove in two more in the fourth. The 19 runs for the game is a new season-high for Tumwater (7-2, 5-1 EvCo), who maintains pace with Aberdeen atop the league standings.

The T-Birds plated at least five runs in the final three frames. Their top-four hitters in the lineup all finished with at least two hits and multiple RBIs. Brielle Womach added a home run, two RBIs, two runs scored and two walks.

Centralia (4-6, 2-5) scored two runs in the third with two outs and another tally in the fifth. Brooklyn Sprague and Chloe Bonomi each went 2-for-3 at the plate and Payton Baumel recorded the lone RBI.

The Tigers face Black Hills on Wednesday while Tumwater closes its four-game homestand against Shelton, also on Wednesday.
