Halloween Community Calendar: Trunks With Treats; Move at the Museum; Costume Party and Dancing

Trunk or Treat

Oct. 28 at 700 Main Ave., Morton; 6:30 p.m.

Lewis County Young Republicans will be hosting this event outside the Bob Lyle Building. Everyone is invited to come. Bring decorated trunks, costumes and candy.

 

Coal Creek Auction Drop-Off

Oct. 29 at 558 Coal Creek Road, Chehalis; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This is the last Friday drop-off and Saturday auction of the month and there will only be four the rest of the year, two in November and two in December. For those who need to drop off those roosters you didn’t know you were buying in May, now is the time. Birds, eggs, rabbits, buckets, cages and animal related items are accepted. The next drop-off is Nov. 12.

 

Trick-or-Treat Drive Through

Oct. 29 at Jefferson Lincoln Elementary, 400 W. Summa St., Centralia; 5 to 6:30 p.m.

School staff will hand out treats to anyone who drives through the event. Costumes encouraged.

Kiddin’ Around Downtown

Oct. 30 at the Pine Street Plaza, Centralia; 1 to 3 p.m.

A free event for kids hosted by the Centralia Downtown Association with cookies, hot cocoa, arts and crafts, photo booth and goodie bags.

 

Trick-or-Treat Transit

Oct. 30 at the Fairway Shopping Center, 1600 S. Gold St., Centralia; 3 to 5:30 p.m.

This free family-friendly Chamber of Commerce event starts at the Fairway Shopping Center, transports trick or treaters to the Lewis County Historical Museum, and then shuttles them back to the center.

 

Trick-or-Treat Downtown Chehalis

Oct. 30 in Downtown Chehalis from 3 to 5:30 p.m.

Downtown Chehalis businesses including Book 'n' Brush will be looking forward to greeting trick-or-treaters on Saturday, as most businesses will be closed on Sunday. Warm costumes and scary masks are encouraged.

Trunks with Treats

Oct. 30 at the Veterans Memorial Museum, 100 SW Veterans Way, Chehalis; 4 to 7 p.m.

The whole family is invited to an evening of trick-or-treating among classic cars and trucks with trunks full of candy. More trick-or-treating opportunities will be available inside the museum’s gallery, which will be open to the public. According to the museum, it is the “perfect time to wear a mask.”

 

Movies by the Dashboard Light — Rocky Horror Picture Show

Oct. 30 at the Veterans Memorial Museum, 100 SW Veterans Way, Chehalis; 8 p.m.



The Veterans Memorial Museum shows films at this drive-in movie theater on the last Saturday of the month. First-come, first-served. Admission is by donation to the museum. Popcorn, drinks and food available. For more information, call 360-740-8875.

 

Free Costume Party and Dancing

Oct. 30 at O'Blarney's Irish Pub, 221 N. Tower Ave., Centralia; 9 p.m.

Sound Dragon Events and O’Blarney’s will host a dance party with no cover. From 9 to 11 p.m. DJ Sound Dragon will play top 40, country and rock music. From 11 p.m. to 1 a.m., there will be club remixes and EDM.

 

Winlock’s Trunk or Treat

Oct. 31 at 200 NW Kerron Ave., Winlock; 3 to 5 p.m.

Drive Through Trick-or-Treat

Oct. 31 at the Chehalis Methodist Church at 16 S. Market Blvd., Chehalis; 4 to 6 p.m.

Enter the back parking lot from Southeast First Street and exit onto East Main Street to get a free goodie bag.

 

Trunk or Treat

Oct. 31 Front Street, Mineral; 5 to 7 p.m.

Hot cider, pumpkin decorating, games and candy will be free for all ages. Donations welcome. Vendors are needed. To participate as a trunk, contact Chantell at the Mineral Market at 360-492-3237.

 

Lewis County Fire District #4 Haunted House

Oct. 31 at the new Morton fire station, 214 Second St., Morton

Family-friendly lights on, no scare haunted house from 5:30 to 5:50 p.m. Scary, lights off haunted house from 6 to 8 p.m.

 

Trunk or Treat

Oct. 31 at the Napavine Fire District 5 station; 6 to 8 p.m.

Sponsored by the Napavine Police Department and City Hall, Napavine Fire District 5 and Let’s Play Something.

 

Halloween at Fairway Lanes

Oct. 31 at 1501 S. Gold St., Centralia; 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Rock & Bowl with a costume contest and prizes. $5 raffle with drawing every 30 minutes. Kids are also welcome to trick-or-treat at the bowling alley throughout the day on Halloween.
