In focus: Three Rivers Care celebrates grand reopening in Centralia at chamber ceremony

Posted

Three Rivers Care held a grand reopening and ribbon-cutting ceremony in Centralia on Tuesday, Dec. 17.

According to the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce, which hosted the event, Three Rivers Care closed in January 2022 due to flooding in the area that resulted in moving all residents to its facility in Olympia.

Instead of reopening right away, Three Rivers Care seized the opportunity to renovate the entire facility. Now that Three Rivers Care is reopening, its administrative and health care workers are excited to welcome back former residents and open their doors to new residents, as well.

The newly renovated facility has 43 rooms for up to 83 residents, a therapy gym, a beauty salon and an indoor garden, among other features. Residents have plenty of entertainment at Three Rivers Care with five to six activities offered a day, from crafts to book club to karaoke.

Prior to the event, Hogue shared what she’s most excited about for the reopening: “For me it’s being able to bring the residents back home. It’s been a long time coming, and they’ve been so excited.”

Three Rivers Care is located at 1305 Alexander St., Centralia.
