In Loving Memory of Anna Mae Crank: 1925-2021

Anna Mae Crank, born Anna Mae Taylor on Aug. 27, 1925, went home to the Lord on Aug. 3, 2021. A woman of strength, substance, accomplishment and humor, Anna passed peacefully in her sleep in Prineville, Oregon. 

She was born in Wallowa, Oregon, and moved to Washington as a small child. She started school in 1931 at Grand Mound School near Centralia, Washington, and attended high school in Rochester before moving to Tacoma where she met and married Hobert Crank. Together they had six children Michael, Jean, Miles, Merlin (Jim), Julie and Cathy. The future held many adventures for her and her family as they moved to Wisconsin, British Columbia, Arizona, California fiand finally to Oregon. She was a professional woman, working in various capacities and became an author in 2005. She made friends wherever she went and some of those friendships became more family than friends and last to this day. Anna Mae lived a long and eventful life. Her cheerful attitude, smile and infectious humor will be missed dearly. A celebration of life event will be held on Aug. 28, 2021, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Swede Hall in Rochester, Washington.
