Posted

Cheryl Lynn (Clark) Coleman was born on Sept 11, 1955, in Chehalis to Art and Joanne Clark. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Aug. 7, 2022, in Lindale, Texas, after numerous battles with cancer.

Growing up on Seminary Hill with four siblings, she said she had a blessed childhood. She loved riding horses, Girl Scouts and tap dancing. She loved to joke. She was a creative humorist in her storytelling and writing. Her hobbies included computer searches for recovering lost money for people she didn’t even know. She also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino. She looked forward to the annual Rayton reunion picnic.

Cheryl graduated from Centralia High School in 1973 and also graduated from Centralia College. Cheryl then soon married Larry Coleman and had three children. She worked for many years as the Glenoma and Randle librarian. Later, she was employed as Glenoma postmaster. Cheryl was a devoted caregiver for her mother-in-law for many years.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Larry; children, Charlie, Jason and Annie; siblings, Larry Clark, Kim Florek and Brenda Vassar; the apple of her eye, her granddaughter, Shelbi Hagins, Texas; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Kevin; nephew, James Vassar; mother-in-law, Helen Coleman; and grandparents, Roscoe and Alice Clark and Elmer and Helen Rayton.

A personal family memorial will be held at a later date. Cheryl will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched.
