Claudell “Babs” Justine Keen, died on Nov. 14, 2024, in Issaquah, Washington. She was born on Dec. 24, 1934, to Clyde and Ella Rich in Portland, Oregon.
Babs had been a Chehalis, Washington, resident since childhood. She and her husband, Kemp Keen, owned a self-employed construction company until retirement. Babs managed the office and bookkeeping part of their business.
Babs enjoyed joining Kemp on hunting and fishing trips, as well as frequent trips to the beach and Mount St. Helens and Spirit Lake. She most especially valued time with her family and friends.
She is survived by daughters Karyn (Don) Denton of North Bend, Washington, and Karma (Randy) Strozyk of Bonney Lake, Washington, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kemp; parents; daughter K’Lynn Davis; and two sisters, Tutti and Maytee Rich.
Burial took place at Claquato Cemetery. Private family services will be held at a future date.
