In Loving Memory of Clifford “Buck” B. England: 1942-2021

Clifford “Buck” B. England, age 79, of Home, Washington passed away on Nov. 11, 2021 at St. Anthony Hospital from complications of cancer treatments. 

Clifford was born on Oct, 10, 1942 in Morton, Washington to Alfred England and Helen Jorgenson England. He is survived by his wife Quirina England of Home, Washington; four children and their spouses Jeffrey England, Dylan England, Dory England Ansel and Denise Lennonand; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law Laura England. 

Buck played piano at dance halls and armories including the Spanish Castle for teen dances in his early career. From there, he discovered the “mighty Hammond B-3” and never looked back. In his 65 year career of traveling, he appeared and recorded with countless performers from here and abroad. He has garnered many awards and honors, like the Washington Blues Society Hall of Fame, Washington Blues Best Hammond B3 Player, Washington Blues Joe Johansen Memorial Award for Excellence, Tacoma Blues Grand Summy Award Blues Master and The Black American Blues Historical Society of Canada awarded the honor of master keyboardist in the Fraternal order of Celesta Musicians. 

Buck also loved being with his family and friends, gardening and was an avid reader. 

Services will be held at Immanuel Presbyterian Church on Nov. 28, 2021 at 2 p.m. at 901 N J Street, Tacoma, Washington, 98403. flIn lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
